The newborn stage is incredibly fleeting, passing by in the blink of an eye. In just one month, your life becomes filled with a mix of beauty, chaos, overflowing love, and sleepless nights. As a mother myself, I understand how quickly this precious time slips away. That's why I am immensely grateful that my husband and I invested in preserving our family's memories. I often find myself pulling out my son's newborn album, and every time, I am overwhelmed with emotion. It takes me back to the moments when his little feet were so small, when he arrived with a head full of hair, and when he fit perfectly in my husband's hands. It's a season of life that we can never reclaim, but we can relive it through our photographs.
I offer two types of newborn experiences to capture these cherished moments. The first option is a session held in the comfort of your own home and can be scheduled within the first month of your baby's life. These Lifestyle Newborn sessions have a documentary-style approach, focusing on capturing the connections, real-life moments, and the love shared within your family during this special time.
The second session I offer is a studio session, which takes place in my in-home studio. These sessions primarily focus on capturing beautiful images of your baby but can also include immediate family members if desired. Studio sessions are typically scheduled within the first fourteen days of your baby's life, as we aim to capture those precious sleepy moments.
Both the in-home lifestyle session and the studio session include a consultation before the actual session. This allows us to discuss your vision and customize the experience to meet your specific preferences and desires. My studio is fully equipped with a wide range of props, backdrops, wraps, headbands, hats, and layers to ensure we have everything we need for your baby's photos. Additionally, I have a growing client closet that includes dresses and children's clothing items, which you can use during the session to make the process stress-free and convenient for you.
As soon as you can. I will always try and fit last minute sessions in because I know how important this time is in your life, but to be on the safe side, book as early as possible. We will pencil your session date to coincide with your due date and finalize plans after your little one has arrived.
You can expect your images back within 1-2 weeks after your session. I carefully choose the best images and edit with lots of love to make sure there is consistency throughout your entire gallery.
I recommend to stick with neutral, earthy tones as they never go out of style. They also go best with my editing and photography style. Once you book, you will receive a client portal with tons of information on what to wear, as well as guidance from me, with one on one calls. I also have a growing client closet of items that you can borrow for your session. As for your newborn, I have everything needed for our session; props, clothing, wraps, and accessories. Not to worry!
I do and want to travel more outside of the state! There is a travel fee involved, but if you need me to travel to you, I am more than happy to do so.
A nonrefundable session fee of $300 is required to hold your session date and time as well as a signed contract. The remainder of the collection fee is due the day of the session.
Reach out and I will walk you through all of your options. Can't wait to meet you!
Deja captured our family in such a fabulous way, we now have such special photos we will treasure for a lifetime.
We are so thankful to have Deja photographing our growing family. She is kind and thoughtful and makes the process so easy and comfortable.
Deja went above and beyond to make us feel special during such a stressful time. We are so thankful we found her and look forward to having her capture future milestones for our little family.
Deja took the most AMAZING photographs of my 2 year old niece! She not only got her to smile beautifully and naturally at the camera, but Deja also captured fantastic (and heartwarming) candid shots when even mom didn't know the camera was on. She is so gifted and wonderful to work with!
