Whether you are welcoming your first or adding to your crew every single newborn chapter is different and every single one deserves to be documented beautifully.

There is no clock watching in a newborn session. Baby eats when baby needs to eat. Baby sleeps when baby needs to sleep. I work entirely around your newborn so you never feel rushed or stressed.
Once you are booked you will receive a detailed newborn session prep guide covering everything you need to know before your session including feeding timing, what to bring, and how to prepare your home for a lifestyle session.
I recommend booking your newborn session at least two to three months before your due date. Your due date holds your spot and we confirm once baby arrives. Newborn availability fills fast especially during peak season.

The classic newborn session. Baby is the star. I work with the baby at their pace in my La Quinta studio using carefully curated wraps, props, baskets, and accessories. Every pose is done safely and intentionally. Must be within the first 14 days of life when baby is still naturally curly and sleepy.

Outdoors or In Your Home
A relaxed and natural session in your home or on location. Mom and dad hold baby the whole time. No posing, no props, just your family in this new season of life. Candid, emotional, and completely real. Can be done slightly beyond the 14 day window.
Newborn posing is a skill that requires patience, training, and a genuine understanding of how to safely position a baby. I have spent years developing my expertise with newborns and every pose I do prioritizes safety above everything else. I know how to read a baby, when to push for the next pose and when to wait, when to feed and when to try again. You will never feel rushed in my studio and your baby will never be placed in a position that is not completely safe. You just sit back, sip something warm, and let me do what I do best.

When should I book my newborn session?
As soon as possible, ideally two to three months before your due date. I hold your spot with your due date and confirm once baby arrives. Newborn sessions fill up fast and I keep my calendar intentionally limited so every family gets my full attention.
When is the best time for a posed newborn session?
Within the first 14 days of life. This is when babies are still naturally curly, sleepy, and moldable for posing. After two weeks they become more alert and harder to pose. If you are interested in a lifestyle session we have a little more flexibility on timing.
How long does a newborn session take?
As long as it needs to. A mini posed session typically runs one and a half hours. A full posed session with family can run three to four hours. There is no rush. Baby eats when baby needs to eat and we work entirely around their schedule. Lifestyle sessions are usually around one hour, depending on if we need to stop for feedings.
Can siblings and parents be included?
Yes. For lifestyle sessions family is always included. For posed studio sessions family can be added to The Family session package. We will discuss the best way to include everyone during your session prep call.
What do I need to bring?
For studio sessions I have everything you need including wraps, props, baskets, blankets, and accessories. You just bring yourself, your baby, and anything you need for feeding. For lifestyle sessions I will send a prep guide with specific suggestions based on your home and your vision.
