You may have heard the phrase, "The days are long, but the years are short." If you are here, you already know how true that statement is. With family photography, you can preserve each season of your family's life with timeless photos that can be passed down from generation to generation.
Each year, my family sets aside money for a family photo session and it's the experience that I look the most forward to each year. With how busy life is, it's such a treat to dedicate one day and one hour to being present with one another, in a stunning location, making memories and documenting each stage of my son's life.
For the first three years of his life, he never really smiled. I explained that to our photographer and that we didn't care if he smiled during the session. Now, looking back on our family albums, I am flooded with memories of his personality, his quirks and all the special things that she captured during our session that will help me to remember our story for many years to come.
To help you in telling your family's story, I offer three types of family experiences; sunset, studio and lifestyle.
Studio sessions are for those momma's wanting simplicity in their family portraits. Clean, minimalistic, focusing on the family as a whole and each individual in it.
Sunset sessions are great for incorporating gorgeous scenery into your family portraits, while Lifestyle Sessions are photographed in the comfort of your home with a more documentary feel. Lifestyle sessions are laid back, and focused on real moments between you, your partner, family, and even pets.
No matter what session you choose, you have full access to my growing client closet. See all the goodies by clicking here.
The most important thing to think about when scheduling a family session is sleeping schedules. In the summer, the sun sets much later at 6 or 7, so sunset sessions might not be a great choice for families with younger children. In the fall, sunset is at 4pm, so some schedule changes might have to be made to accommodate. Studio sessions can be scheduled at any time of the day due to the artificial lighting. Lifestyle sessions are usually shot in the morning, depending on lighting in your home, and are scheduled around nap's.
You can expect your images back within 1-2 weeks after your session. I carefully choose the best images and edit with lots of love to make sure there is consistency throughout your entire gallery.
I recommend to stick with neutral, earthy tones as they never go out of style. They also go best with my editing and photography style. Once you book, you will receive a client portal with tons of information on what to wear, as well as guidance from me, with one on one calls. I also want to take as much stress as I can off of you, so I have a growing client closet of items for you to choose from for your session.
I do and want to travel more outside of the state! There is a travel fee involved, but if you need me to travel to you, I am more than happy to do so.
A nonrefundable session fee of $300 is required to hold your session date and time as well as a signed contract. The remainder of the collection fee is due the day of the session.
Reach out and I will walk you through all of your options. Can't wait to meet you!
Deja captured our family in such a fabulous way, we now have such special photos we will treasure for a lifetime.
We are so thankful to have Deja photographing our growing family. She is kind and thoughtful and makes the process so easy and comfortable.
Deja went above and beyond to make us feel special during such a stressful time. We are so thankful we found her and look forward to having her capture future milestones for our little family.
Deja took the most AMAZING photographs of my 2 year old niece! She not only got her to smile beautifully and naturally at the camera, but Deja also captured fantastic (and heartwarming) candid shots when even mom didn't know the camera was on. She is so gifted and wonderful to work with!
