There is nothing I enjoy more than making magic for you and your family, while I encourage you to relax and connect while in front of the camera. Take a peek at the collection of stories below, I can not wait to tell yours!
April 22nd marks the anniversary of the birth of the 1970’s environmental movement , or as we call it now, Earth Day. At the time, Americans were slurping leaded gas through massive V8 sedans and industry belched out smoke and sludge with little fear of legal consequences or bad press. That is until a publication by Rachel Carson began to raise public awareness and concern for living organisms, the environment and links between pollution and public health.
Thankfully, we are still celebrating this day today and educating the younger generations on it’s importance. This year, I was asked to photograph this wonderful day at the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert.
This event was free to the community, which is fantastic! The kids got to sing and dance with a guitarist, color and draw pictures, plant flowers and the biggest hit of the day was a table sponsored by Tea with Iris. For those of you who don’t know, Tea with Iris is a cute shop that makes handmade items here in the Coachella Valley. You can find her items on her online store, Whole Foods in Palm Desert or the farmers markets in Palm Desert and La Quinta. But, back to their awesome table! They encouraged the kids to use recycled items (cereal boxes, cardboard, string) and create books for them to write in. All the kids could not wait to make one of these one of a kind pieces!
Thank you so much to the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert for allowing me to be apart of such a great event!
