Want to know the best thing about having a baby!?

It is a great excuse to get away and enjoy a Baby Moon!! For those of you who do not know what a Baby Moon is, it is a relaxing or romantic vacation taken by parents-to-be right before their baby is born. This might be a couple’s last get away before a family of two becomes a family of three, which is a really big deal! I convinced this gorgeous couple, Helena and Brian, to take said Baby Moon here in Palm Springs so they could relax and of course get their maternity pictures taken by moi! We started our Palm Springs photo shoot by stopping by the Parker Hotel for some gorgeous shots:

Then we headed over to the location of the Doug Aitken Mirrored Cabin. It is just one of the many art installations featured in Desert X, a curated exhibition of site-specific work by established and emerging artists. This installation is particularly stunning, not only because of the cabin made entirely of mirrors, but because of the landscape on which it sits. Undeveloped land covered in wild grass, rocks, mountains and gorgeous wildflowers. The second I saw it, I wrote to Helena and told her we had to shoot here. The results are breathtaking…
