La Quinta | Family Photography

I will get to my La Quinta Family Photography session in just one little second. I need to start this blog with HOW MUCH I LOVE THEIR HOUSE! Crisp white walls and kitchen, gorgeous warm wood tile floors and tons of natural light. My jaw literally fell to the floor when I walked in. I should have taken pictures of every square inch of the house for inspiration for my dream home.

As beautiful as this home was, it was occupied with an equally beautiful family. Three gorgeous kids with amazing personalities and two fun parents who love life…they were a photographers dream clients. The day started with Stella and Momma going to the hair salon to get blow out’s and their makeup done. Stella just turned FOUR while they were staying in La Quinta, which is such an incredibly fun age.

Before their session, Sia and I discussed how the session would run. She showed me a picture of her back yard and that is when we were off and running with ideas! Sparkle pool tubes, YES! Matching suits, YES! Will you jump in the pool, YES! I couldn’t wait for our session date because I knew we were going to have so much fun. Around 2:00, I go and look outside my window and for the first time all freaking year…it’s overcast and about to rain. One side of me was so excited to see the storm clouds, the other was freaking out because Sia and Stella were already in the makeup chair getting ready for our 7:00 shoot. I ended up fast tracking the shoot to 4:30 and we got very lucky that the sky didn’t down pour on us, although I have a feeling we would have still had a great time and amazing pictures to show for it.
