Sherman Oaks Newborn | Aila

I could not WAIT to photograph this Sherman Oaks newborn! Baby Aila was such a dream. I have known her parents for years now and I had the privilege to watch them meet and become friends, grow into lovers and now become the proud parents of this gorgeous baby girl.

Kevin was actually one the very first friends I made when I moved to California twelve years ago. We bonded quickly after we both realized that we had lived in Poughkeepsie, NY. He grew up there and I lived there for two years while I attended Marist College. He seriously is one of the nicest, most caring men I have ever met in my life. During the twelve years of our friendship, I have seen him take in friend after friend from the east coast. Help them to get jobs and give them a roof over their heads until they got onto their feet. If there is such a thing as good karma, this man has a lifetime of wealth ahead of him!

He met Hannah a few years into living in Los Angeles. When I say that the two compliment each other perfectly, I mean it. She allows him to be himself, while also showing him how to be a better, more driven man (if that was even possible). I am in love with the two of them and have loved watching their love story unfold. My only wish now is that we lived closer together, so I can watch her grow up first hand. Until then, I will gladly watch her grow through my lens..so we all can look back on this crazy amazing time when she was so teeny!
